I think that the background has just enough interest in it that it does not pull your eyes away from the central focus, but leaves the piece feeling finished unlike if the background was a solid color. I like that the strawberries were not neatly trimmed and made perfectly symmetrical, which holds your interest longer as you pickup the little details. The chocolate was picked up at a time when the chocolate was folding leaving it offset from the peak and is flowing down the side rather that the front again making the piece more interesting. The only thing that I think could be improved is the lighting towards the bottom of the pile, but I am not sure that it can be done without washing out some other part and losing some of the works feel.
I love this piece. I love the contest between the strawberries and the chocolate. I also love how it is just dripping down the sides of the strawberries. It looks delicious. This would be great as a commercial photograph. It makes me want to go out and get some plump strawberries and some rich chocolate right now. i love the background color it makes the whole photo look warm and inviting. I also like how the strawberries are a little gritty looking. All and all my favorite photo in your gallery. This should have gotten the Daliy Deviation it deserved.Keep up the amazing photography.
